He's a 34yr old ufa to be. Dallas is getting a young guy that was a 1st round pick. Seems about fair.

That's fine. They aren't going anywhere for the balance of Brendan's career. They are building a nice young d core.

I get that they had to trade him, just thought they could do better than this. Morrow's numbers in the AHL aren't impressive at all.

Young defenseman are prone to a lot of ups and downs in their development and I believe J. Morrow has a lot of upside potential as he matures - this is a solid addition to the Stars stable of prospects. The draft picks are a crap shoot anyway (Jamie Benn was a 5th round pick) and probably included because B. Morrow is a UFA.

Morrow will provide a lot of grit for your playoff run even though he has lost a step. I hope he helps Pittsburgh reach the finals - he deserves the shot.

You rank them how you want but these 4 are the top in my order- Despres, Pouliet, Morrow, Maata, then next tier Harrington, Doumilin

Stars won't be disappointed. J Morrow has a bomb of a shot. Once he transitions to the pro game he will be a fine top 4 potential top 2 dman.

Penguins really need a B Morrow player. A veteran with some grit. If he goes with Geno and Neal you are looking at a top 6 that is very scary for any team to deal with. If He ends up on the 3rd line it is an instant upgrade. Good trade for both teams IMO.

Always liked Brendan and is a good pick up for the Pens since he can move up and down the line up. Glad Dallas is trading him to a team with a shot at the cup.
